REMEMBERING
SIA CHRISTINE YORKER
1991-2011

Sia Christine Yorker was born at Bethesda Naval Medical Center on July 15, 1991. She adored God, had a natural warmth that drew people to her, and loved being around children. Sia was an active volunteer at church and in her community.

From her early days at Deltona Lakes Elementary to her leadership at Pine Ridge High School, Sia excelled academically, participated in sports and the arts, mentored students, and inspired everyone around her. She aspired to be a pediatrician and was accepted into the Medical Program at the University of Florida in 2011. Sia loved photography, fashion, sports, travel, and spending time with family and friends.

Tragically, at just 19, Sia passed away on June 21, 2011, due to a sudden acute brain hemorrhage. Though her life was short, her kindness, dedication, and spirit touched countless lives. Her legacy continues through the Sia Brain Awareness Foundation, inspiring others to serve, educate, and care for their communities.
Her family finds comfort in knowing that Jesus Christ is her Lord and Savior, and that she rests in His presence.
