In loving memory of Sia C. Yorker
“Sia was entering her third year of college, passionately pursuing her dream of becoming a pediatric physician, when a sudden, acute brain hemorrhage unexpectedly transitioned her young life from Earth to Heaven. In her honor, the Yorker family carries forward Sia’s legacy through scholarship and brain awareness programs nationwide.”
ABOUT US
Sia Brain Awareness Foundation – Founded in 2011 in memory of Sia Christine Yorker, we raise awareness about brain health and support those affected by brain conditions.
Our Mission: Educate the community on the signs of acute brain hemorrhages and other serious brain conditions, encourage preventive measures, and provide comfort to those grieving the loss of loved ones.
Scholarships & Youth Support: We award scholarships to Central Florida high school seniors pursuing medical science. Through our Community Care Youth Volunteer Program, students earn volunteer hours for Bright Future Scholarships while giving back to the community by serving seniors and participating in meaningful outreach.
Community Events: Through our Brain Walk-A-Thon, we fund scholarships, host bike and helmet giveaways, and bring joy to families during the holidays with toys and food baskets.
Seminars: Our educational programs equip the community with hands-on knowledge to respond to unexpected brain illnesses.
