About the event
The 12th Annual "WITNESS THE FITNESS" 5K BRAIN HEMORRHAGE WALK/RUN Fundraiser is being held by The Sia Yorker Brain Awareness Scholarship Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit organization established to preserve the memory of the late Sia Christine Yorker. On her way to realizing her childhood dream of becoming a pediatrician, Sia, who was accepted to the University of Florida Gainesville in her third year of college at the age of 19, passed away on June 21, 2011, from a Sudden Acute Brain Hemorrhage. Through medical science, health & fitness, mentoring young people, and community outreach, Sia focused on expanding education.
The Deltona, Florida "WITNESS THE FITNESS" 5K BRAIN HEMORRHAGE WALK/RUN RACE will take place at 8:00 a.m., Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the Dewey O Boster Sports Complex Park, 1200 Saxon Blvd, (Deltona, FL 32725).
