ABOUT US

Sia Brain Awareness Foundation is a 501c3 tax-exempt organization founded in 2011 in memory of Sia Christine Yorker and others that have transitioned on, and those that are currently living with an Adverse Brain Condition.

Our Mission is to Educate and bring Awareness of the Signs and Symptoms of Acute Brain Hemorrhages and other adverse Brain Conditions. In addition, we want to encourage others to be proactive in taking preventive measures in avoiding head injuries as well as to console those that are experiencing pain and grief from a loss of a loved one due to a brain condition.

One of the goals of the foundation is to award scholarships to deserving Central Florida graduating high school seniors who will be full-time students in an accredited Florida College or University with the intent of pursuing Medical Science.

To ensure our presence in the community Sia Brain Awareness Foundation continues to provide direct student services to schools, as well as hospitals, corporations, and other charitable organizations.

Through our Annual Brain Walk A Thon, scholarships are provided,  Bike and helmets giveaways to provide overall safety, moreover during the holiday seasons, community members have come to enjoy the toy giveaways and supplemental food baskets to enhance the joy of families coming together to celebrate.

Our seminars have provided a wealth of information to equip community members with hands-on information that will guide them through many facets of unexpected brain illnesses.
